I only had two responses to my question about gluten free restaurants in
Salt Lake City, Utah.

1) I usually go to mexican restaurants when I go to S.L.: El Ferrolls is
on 7200 south, and what used
to be Manuels on 6th south and West Temple has moved to 9th south between
state and main and has changed their name to El Marcado or some such thing.
They are NOT fancy, but it's a fun, safe place to go for lunch. Raufaels is
on 9400 south and about 10th east.

2) I did eat at a new Brazilian restaurant called Rodizio Grill in Trolley
Square (6th South and 7th East, SLC, (801) 521-9877), very good! I would
recommend it. Definitely not for vegetarians though. (I then asked how the
meats were marinated: and the response was: That, I don't know. I didn't
have any reaction to it, but then I'm not really sensitive. I would
definitely ask them questions.)

Subsequent to posting I noticed in Sunset Magazine a short write up
LoneStar mex. taqueria type restaurant - also on 7200 South. They included
a recipe for Fish Tacos that appear simple and gluten
free as well as their salsa. The cilantro-mayonaise that comes with it is
NOT gluten free per the recipe.

Thanks very much to the two people that responded. - Laurie
