Many of the fancy Haagen Dazs ice cream flavors are not gluten-free,
specifically their Bailey's irish cream. I'm not sure about the others. I
find that I have the best luck with simple flavors, like chocolate. Then
again, vanilla extract doesn't produce visible symptoms in me, so I don't
worry about the gf status of an ice cream that lists "vanilla" as an
ingredient, though I would guess that many on this list would avoid it.
Does anyone know about soft-serve ice cream? I was told that it often
contains "atypical" ice cream ingredients such as chicken fat. Is this
true? I haven't found a place that will show me the ingredients yet.
