To follow up, I also called McCormick/Shilling and have good news:

Their vanilla, almond, lemon, brandy, etc extracts use a Synthetic Alcohol
and are GF!!!!!  Because I gave mine away after the recent diagnosis and
before I called the company, they are sending me coupons!  Their toll free
number is 1-800-632-5847
