Here, here

After weighing only 49 kg for most of my adult life I became FAT bigtime. In
only two years I went from this to 90 kg.
Strangely enough I'm still the same person but people started treating me
differently.
Somehow folks are under the impression my brain has taken a leave or something.
As we on this list know it is NOT a matter of willpower. Just try to figure
that out for yourself first and then you find yourself facing the whole world
that seems to think otherwise.
Only today a collegue of mine stated that we all need sugar in our food. I'm
not talking carbs, SUGAR!!! When I said that this wasn't the case she flipped.
And this is an intelligent, highly schooled woman.
So what else can we do but realise that we are on our own and try to educate
those around us. And ony those who are open to it.
Sometimes a person can have his/her own reasons for not wanting to listen.
Now that I am a chubby goddess (grin) and loosing weight very very slowly (61/2
kg so far) I know that I don't care what they say. Whatever it is, it says
something about them, the way they see the world. It has nothing to do with
me.....
If I feel too fat, I will loose weight by going highprotein. If I feel ok, I
will eat more carbs. My life, my body.

Christy

Ps I like my men with a bit of meat on them anyway ;-))
