Hi list:
Can I firstly say thank you to those people who helped me with my
disconnection problem.
I have discovered that the problem does in fact lie with my ISP but all
postings from you guys were useful.
Now to a more complex problem.
I have a 6200C Hewlett Packard scanner which I use with Open Book Ruby.
Yesterday, I updated my Windows 98 s.e files with files from the Windows
Update site.
Initially, the scanner worked well but has now started taking about eight
minutes to start the process of scanning - once started the process goes
fine. I have a feeling that updating my Windows stuff may have affected the
poor old scanner.
In fact, I reinstalled the scanner software to see if that would make any
difference but it didn't. Wonder if I need to update my drivers or
something and if so, how do I go about this? As I say, the scanner worked
beautifully until I updated my Windows files.
Any thoughts would be helpful, and thanks. Oh, incidentally i use the
scanner with Open Book Ruby - all a bit old-fashioned in this part of the
world.
