>>>I had my husband convinced that the paleoway was best and he ate properly
for 5 days. Well, one of his best friends died the day before yesterday. He
was 52 and had even been on this list for a while. He was known in the
Vietnam Veterans group as the 'healthnut' however was 'wound tight'. (He
will be autopsied).

>>What to do?

Major life stresses can trigger a speedy death--loss of a loved one, loss of
job, etc. There are books on this. For example, sometimes someone's spouse
will die mysteriously after the death of his/her spouse. Sometimes a twin
will die suddenly after the death of his/her twin sibbling. If people are
unhappy they can die of misery, loss of will, loss of purpose, loss of hope,
working at a job that is killing you.... I am not discounting diet, but
there are other factors which can push a person over the edge. Also, "being
on the list for a while" doesn't tell us anything about the person's
character, lifestyle, life attitude, long term nutritional status (adequacy,
deficiency, etc.). People have many different ways of applying
philosophies, diets, etc.

Regardless of who dies and who lives. EVERY BODY can profit by eating
nourishing foods. There is no body that I can imagine that CANNOT benefit
from nourishment for life. Devitalized food does not profit anyone but the
manufacturers or purveyors who fabricate, push, and peddle it. Hopefully
they will get their just desserts.... (Just my 2 cents worth...any know
where the "cents" key is?)

All the best,
Rachel

Btw: Vietnam Veterans are not known to be particularly HAPPY people, as a
group. I've met many who are bitter, hard hearted, wounded, scarred, still
traumatized years after the fact. Maybe he never got over that stuff. Was
he a passionately happy person, with a loving mate, doing work he loved that
got him out of bed in the morning and was on his mind when he went to bed at
night?
