You can find much on this in the archives of a few months back. Visit:

Well, since it isn't out yet, none, except for those two, have seen it.

I'm presuming you mean paleodiet.com. Paleofood.com is the recipe collection.

I e-mailed what I have.

One can buy it in an Indian grocer, at health food stores in the skin care
section, possibly in Caribbean grocers, and on the web. One or two web
vendors are listed in the vendors section of www.paleodiet.com.

As for how it is made here's a web site explaining the traditional way.
Just added to paleodiet.com:

Try Polarica, if they are still in business. They are (were) near San
Francisco at 800-426-3872. I do know the NYC store closed down.

In the vendors section of paleodiet.com you can mail order true grass fed
beef. I'm fortunate in having a farmer at the greenmarket with range fed
beefalo and "organic" pork and chicken. I get top round beefalo for my
jerky. Boneless pork loin which I preslice and cook like bacon. And chicken
livers which I fry with olive oil, pepper, onions, garlic, lemon juice, and
sometimes ground up pine nuts. Then i stir in steamed broccoli.

It has been debated here. It is up to you to evaluate the arguments and
decide for yourself. Not everything is hard and fast. You can search the
archives at the web site noted above, or via e-mail. By e-mail put in a
message body:

search "maple syrup" in paleofood
