i forgot to answer that one
The cashew are certainly paleo but not the white residue of the modern
processing plants that are sold to occidental palates as cashew nuts.(IMO)
I don't remember the exact procedures , but chemical solvents are used .and
high heat.
The skin on a paleo cashew stick to the kernel like in a filbert.
the taste of the cashews sold as raw here have no relation to the taste of
the real raw cashew nut.
The indians concerned by the environment that i met were considering those
processing plants as a real problem.
On top of that DDT is used on the trees.
