The Y2K is not starting off very well. I was diagnosed yesterday with a very invasive, highly malignant form of breast cancer. The lump itself was removed last week and the mastectomy will be in 2 or 3 weeks. So, I'm going to stay on the PALEOFOOD list a couple more days just in case anyone has any thoughts for me re. food that may help my condition.

Everything I've read so far extols the virtues of soy. How's a paleobabe going to turn into a soy-eater overnight? ER4YT wants me (type A blood) to eat lima beans, soy, peanuts, etc. Yikes!!

I'm having a little trouble finding a good breast cancer list to join. Any ideas?

BTW, the cancer had been there for a LONG time, the mammograms just didn't pick it up because it was so close to my underarm (read "lymph nodes"). I'm also dealing with progressive post-polio muscular atrophy (similar to ALS) and am close to menopause. Geeeeesh! Isn't that enough?

So, take care everyone and stay paleo. Statistically, I have less than 1% chance of survival. But, who knows? I may just surprise everyone and join you again some day.
