According to the Zone, I should be eating the following per day:

108 grams carb 432 calories
84 grams protein 336 calories
18 grams fat 162 calories
                        ------------------
                        930 calories

I contend that 930 calories/day is insufficient for a 6' 3" man.

On a calorie restricted diet of about 1700 calories per day, I lost 20
pounds - 17 of which was muscle. I continued lifting during this period.
To answer the next question, the protein on this diet was actually higher
than the Zone.

I do not see how I would not lose similar amounts of muscle on the Zone
diet if I followed it as directed.
