I hope this message wont trigger a deluge of questions. I have no tourist
information, because I was not a tourist. I lived and worked in Costa Rica
with women and childreb with disabilitiesm for six years from 1984 to 1990.
During that time I went to the beach numerous times, to the rain forest at
Monteverde once, and to the volcano at Arenal, once.
I have also been to Mexico City, Guatamala, Nicaragua, Panama, and Ecuador,
as an adult.
When I was twelve, my family lived in Caracas, Venezurla for two years,
from there we moved to Rio de Janeiro for a year and a half.
I speak Spanish fluently. In both Caracas and Rio, I attended small
private American Svhools and did well eventhough I was the only student
with CP.
The whole experience gave me an appreciation for other cultures and
literatures. I also am sorry for those Americans who think English is the
only language.
Vaya con la diosa,
Mariana Ruybalid
