Bobby!

You are very correct! In Texas, if you commit murder, you get executed
(usually). The big problem is that I am still not decided on the whole
"death penalty" thing. Maybe it is being a Canadian???? I don't know.

There was a big special on this individual from Canada who was just
about to be executed. It looks like maybe he was not the actual trigger
puller... I figure that if you go to the States from Canada and commit
a crime the punishment should be dealt by the place where the crime was
committed. The problem is knowing that the person did the crime.

As you may know Canada is split on the possibility of returning to the
"death penalty". We had some recent cases with Paul Bernardo and
Clifford Olson when many Canadians wanted the "death penalty" put back
in the books. The difficulty is that we don't think our legal system
always convicts the right people (many cases are now being turned over
due to DNA evidence that the individual did not commit the crimes).

Oh well....the Canadian split personality!
