Hello, Hello!!
Yes, it is me again. I have found out today that it will be easy as pie to
get these blood tests. All I have to do is walk into the lab, give them
some money, and it is done. I don't even have to see a doctor. I have
decided, though, to wait til next Wednesday, just to give it a little extra
time and maybe make the test more reliable (It will have been at least three
weeks of almost normal gluten intake). Recently I increased my gluten intake
with some bread, and wow can I tell the difference. Aches and pains that I
haven't felt for a year have come back full blown. My students thought I was
up all night (even though I had slept 9 hours), I looked so bad. It will be
hard to keep this up all week, but it will be worth some peace of mind about
the tests.
I will be able to get IgA and IgG. I'm not sure yet about the AEA. The boss
wasn't there. Here are my questions:
1. Are there any other tests to ask for?
2. If the tests are positive, how strong is the diagnosis. Should I try to
get a biopsy? That might take a little longer.
