Hi list,
This may sound stupid but I need some input here. It is my understanding
that oats are not in our diet. I run into people who have been told they
have a gluten problem yet are eating oats and are even sold oats from the
health food store that has given them the gluten advice. I want some input
in how to deal with this. I need to talk to this person giving this info. I
understand that technically oats do not contain gluten per se but most
batches have tested out to be contaminated unless from very controlled
sources which do not seem available to the average person. The statement I
make is that oats are not in the gluten free diet for the above reasons. Is
this correct ? Thanks, Donna in Pa
