Someone I knew who was experiencing the symptoms of
Celiac Disease recently went to a GI doctor. This
doctor explained to them if a small bowel biopsy
confirmed CD, he would then treat them with prednisone
because most of his patients do not respond to the
gluten-free diet. I have not read anything like this!

Has anyone ever heard of treating someone strictly with
prednisone for CD or is this doctor wrong?

Thanks!

Donna
