A favorite family anecdote is about a friend of my grandparents who was
varnishing a desk. All went well until he got to the kneehole area, for
which he went underneath and sat on the floor. The fumes started getting to
him and he really began to enjoy being there. Luckily he got out (I don't
recall if he realised what was happening or someone else noticed) before he
passed out.
