Even without a camera does The vOICe Learning Edition
offer some features that you can play with. For example,
you can play the built-in game of Tic Tac Toe using
soundscapes, which also serves as an exercise in learning
to understand and hear out objects and shapes within
moderately complex soundscapes. Pitch represents vertical
position and stereo panning represents horizontal position
in a left-to-right soundscape scanning. Pressing Shift F11
starts the game of Tic Tac Toe, and the arrow keys and
space bar are then the game controls. More about this on
the web page

   http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Peter_Meijer/tictactoe.htm

You will play against The vOICe on a 3 by 3 game board
with a stereo sound cursor controlled by the arrow keys,
and place a piece by just pressing the space bar. Hearing
positions becomes harder as the board fills up. Moving
the field cursor around with the arrow keys can then help
to listen out again where the various pieces were placed.

The vOICe Learning Edition software for Windows-95/98/NT
can be downloaded from the web page

   http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Peter_Meijer/winvoice.htm

If the audio output would interfere with the speech from
your screen reader, you can press Control F2 to silence
The vOICe and give your screen reader a chance to talk.

So just neglect the error message "I'm sorry, The vOICe
cannot find your webcam", and also neglect the weird sound
of the demo soundscape and just press the key combination
Shift F11 after startup.

Have fun!
