School email Project
From: [log in to unmask] (Mill Cove DistrictSubject: Please help.
Hello!
We are in Grade 5 at Mill Cove District School,
which is about 1/2 hours west of Halifax, Nova
Scotia. We have 7 girls and 10 boys in our class.
We have decided to map an email project. We are
curious to see where in the world our email will
travel by Internet, between the period of April 8-
June 7, 1999. We would like your help. If you
receive this message, we ask that you:
1) email back and tell us your location so we can
plot it on ourworld map AND
2) send our class letter on to more people.
Thank you for any help you can give. Our email
address is [log in to unmask]

Being the consummate paranoid web surfer I yam, I hesitated to respond to
this message as it sounds like a variant of those "a dying kid's last wish"
internet legends. But, I looked them up on the net and found Mill Cove
School District's web page
http://www.glinx.com/~millcove/MCDS.html
which has a page about the success of the email project
http://www.glinx.com/~millcove/Project.html
It seems they've had over 9900 responses already!
