Aloha, Y'all!

Just a brief reminder that VICUG NYC's next General Membership Meeting
will be held in the Auditorium of The Associated Blind (TAB) building on
Tuesday, December Eighth, from 6 to 8pm. The topic of discussion will be:
"Holiday Cheer: Myth or Reality?" In other words, today's meeting will be
devoted exclusively to VICUG NYC's Third Annual Holiday Party. This is an
excellent opportunity to meet fellow VICUG members in an informal setting,
while enjoying some groovy Jamaican food. (Yes, that's right, boys and
girls -- refreshments will be served!) So, come one, and come all!
Anyone and everyone is encouraged to attend -- even (or, rather,
especially) if you have never attended a VICUG NYC meeting!

VICUG NYC meets in the Auditorium of the TAB/Sellis Manor building, which
is located at 135 West Twenty-Third Street. The building is on the north
side of the street, midway between Sixth and Seventh Avenues. For
detailed directions and information about subway and bus lines in the
vicinity, consult:

        http://www.hicom.net/~oedipus/vicug/directions.html

or call (212) 255-1212 between 9am and 4:30pm.

Thanks again to Jay Leventhal, Crista Earl, and the American Foundation
for the Blind's Technology Center for providing follow-up materials for
the November presentation -- "Getting Online: The Very Basics" -- in
braille, large print, and on floppy disk. Copies will again be available
at the December meeting.

One last note... On November 30, the VICUG NYC web site unexpectedly
disappeared from cyberspace when my NJIN account was unceremoniously
terminated. VICUG NYC's web site has since resurfaced, in its temporary
home:

        http://www.hicom.net/~oedipus/vicug/

Please update your bookmarks and links accordingly.

Thanks again, and have a soulful solstice!
        Gregory
President, WebMonster, & Minister of Propaganda, VICUG NYC
