Hi, have you verified cpu settings: bus speed,
multiplier, core voltage etc.? Even if it's jumperless
or autodetect.

I would wonder if your cpu or ram bus speed was
mixed. Some mobo's allow you to independently
toggle 66/100Mhz bus for ram/cpu.

Also, did you verify BIOS settings specific to your
ram/cpu setup and pci bus speed ?

In regards to failing to boot from A:\
You should fdisk, format, and boot with the same
version of Windows since FAT32 has been updated
each time and access is impossible between some
versions and DOS 622 especially. Hopefully, some
of your error messages were caused by this alone.
