     That depends on your telco. I long ago set my email address to one that
is not specific to my ISP (I use @email.com to forward to my real address),
that way I can change ISPs at will and nobody ever has to know.

        I am not sure what you mean by this. The connection is practically a
network connection, all the "resources" used by this are always loaded as
long as you have at least one adapter and network protocal installed. Since
it is such an integral part of windows I doubt the resources used are
anything to notice, even assuming you could do it. TTYL
