I'm still having problems with DVDs freezing in my system.
When the ATI DVD software does a compatibility test, it fails on "memory read
bandwith" and "memory write bandwidth".
The results of the failed test yields:
video read is not checked
video read(DirectDraw) is not checked
video read(host) is not checked
video write is not checked
video write(DirectDraw) is not checked
video write(host) is not checked.
The actual Toshiba DVD player is known to work properly,(system - 350K6-2,64MB RAM,32MB ATI rage fury graphics card).
I've also tried the player on a different data ribbon cable, but no luck.
DirectX7 is installed.
Would the memory read/write bandwidth failure cause the DVDs to crash,
what is this anyway?
(CD-ROMs work fine in drive).
Thanks for any help
Andy
