Our children were vaccinated as recommended by our old
country doctor. He did not feel the shots needed to start at
as early an age as suggested. Neither have had negative
reactions that we are aware of. They both had chicken pox
and have the natural immunity. As to circumcision, I asked
my son's father before the birth of the child what his
personal preference would be. He had been circumcised in his
teens because of health issues caused by a tight foreskin.
He felt circumcision would reduce the risk the child might
face later in life of having the same problem. My DH was
born at home and circumcision was not commonly performed
during his year of birth.

I live with a high risk individual and have mild asthma. I
choose to get the flu shot and have done so for many years.
As a result, I have not had any problems with the flu and
reduce the risk of transmitting it to my DH or our DD who is
moderately asthmatic. I have no side effects from the
current type of vaccine. The older flu vaccines did give me
trouble (20+ years ago).

Just my personal experience with these subjects.
