This is true, St. Johns Wort can take up to 6 weeks to build up in your
system to where it works. A trial time that would be suitable would be
about a 3 month period. If you are taking a prescription antidepressant,
then check with your Dr first. I am taking 10mg paxil and my Dr ok'd me
to have two cups of St. Johns Wort tea a day. But no more than that.
Prior to the tea, I was taking 20 mg. of paxil, so I have been able to
cut my paxil in half since starting St. Johns.
