My daughter has been going for accupuncture treatments for several months
now. The only pain she experienced was when the needles were inserted. Some
were just minor pricks others caused her to jerk. Outside of that she has
had no pain whatsoever, the needles have never fallen out, no needles were
ever left in by mystake.
She does walk better after the treatments, her spasticity is less pronounced,
and when he works on her energy points, she has a great deal more of energy
to get through the week. He has also worked on her back for back pain, and
again there has always been positive results. She usually gets her back
worked on after she's had a bad fall. She has very poor balance, so we
usually go to him about twice a month. Of all the alternative treatments,
message therapy, physical therapy, chiropractic, and touch healing,
accupuncture has been the best.
You friend evidently has good intentions, but he is definately not
experienced enough, and I would suggest that you go to someone more
experienced. Just as accupuncture done properly is very beneficial, so is it
determental if done wrong.
Good Luck
