And, there's other reasons: I like seeing the lights on my USR Courier External
"V- everything" modem.  If I ever see that ARQ light blinking, I know that
there are some problems on my line.  Also, sometimes it SEEMS as if I'm
connected but I can immediately see by the LEDs on my modem that I have lost
the connection.
