When I grew up in San Antonio, there were many small towns ringing it which
were
populated almost exclusively with German people. (Admiral Nimitz was from
one of them called Fredericksburg and his family still owns a hotel there.)
Anyway,
you can get some real sausage there. They have sauerkraut, but I never
cared for it. My uncle and my brother take their vinson up there to have
them make it into smoked sausage. Bambi sausage...the best!! LOL
