I've been gf for 20 years (usual story umpteen years of misdiagnoses,
surgery etc. went from 130 to 210 solid pounds of muscle in two years).
Since I got my new lease on life two decades ago I became a martial arts
instructor. Gradually my muskoskeletal system has been eroding. Cervical
fusion, shoulder reconstruction. About 2 years ago started to develop
extreme arthritic problems, to the point now where I'm not walking very
well. I've been diagnosed with anklosing spondylitis and osteoporosis. I
beleive that doing martial arts especially Tai Chi has kept me from becoming
incapacitated, but it's becoming a struggle. The drs are talking about
chronic pain med and immune suppressant drugs at this point. I don't know.
I don't know that I'm a type A, but I've yet to miss a day of work through
all of this, coach little league, teach classes 5 days a week, write a
weekly newspaper column and it's all about to collapse.

    Questions:

    1. Just read a message that says prednisone is not GF. What has been
other people's response to prednisone?

    2. Are there any celiacs out there suffering from anklosing spondylitis
or other insidious arthritis? What do you do to control it? NSAID's are out
(rash, tongue swells up, etc.)

    3. What do other people use for gut inflammation that just won't quit?
