Western Digital has announced the recall of 400,000 HDD's using 6.8 Gig
platters (6.8, 13.6, 20.4).  There is a faulty chip causing the motor to
fail in 6 to 12 months.  As I recall, wasn't someone on the list just
talking about an apparent failure problem with a 6.8?  Check if your
drive is on the list at;
