I had this happen with my notebook and it was affected by the parallel port
settings in my bios. Try changing these settings and see what happens.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Soundcard problems
Hi, All...
A question...
Checked my speaker they are oke.
But when i play some audio or play a game but with not all audio and with
all
games i have the problem, the sound is like really crappie. It's like when
you
put your speakers to loud and overstear the sound it's get crispy.
What's the problem.. is my soundcard going to die on me.. or is it something
else...
