The only suggestion I can think of (before returning it) that has
not been made is: If you are planning on assembling many systems, it may
be justifiable to buy a POST Card (If you can't borrow one). They are useful
for locating pre-boot Power On Self-Test problems.
On the other hand, if the occasional board doesn't boot, it's going back
anyway. There is not much point spending time diagnosing a board that is
going back under warranty - although it could be a point in your favor
if you can say exactly what the problem is, when talking with the supplier.
POST cards are also useful with old, out-of-warranty systems that don't
boot.
