I have an AMD K2 400 with Windoze98 and I set up 2 printers with one on
LPT1 and using a Belkin USB to Parallel cable to have my other on USBLPT1.
This was rather than put in another parallel card (no room)and use LPT2
a bit more expensive, but it allows me to change what is on the end of the
USB cable, like hook up my scanner or zip drive instead :-)
