Coffee plants give fruit known as "cherry coffee". The flesh surrounding
the seed is pleasantly sweet if entirely ripe. When one eats them fresh the
seed is discarded. It is the _seed_ (dried, roasted, ground) that coffee is
made from.

Similarily, it is the seed of the cocoa fruit that chocolate is made
from--the cocoa fruit is edible but it is mostly rind.

There is probably nothing evil about either of these, but just because the
flesh of the fruit can be eaten raw is hardly an argument that the seed can
be processed and retain its paleo status.

Cheers,
Kirt
