Thieves hit police HQ
JOHANNESBURG, March 31 (AFP) - Thieves broke into the fifth-floor head
office of the KwaZulu-Natal province police in the Indian Ocean city of
Durban
on Wednesday and stole a video-recorder from the commissioner's office, the
Star newspaper reported Friday.
They also stole a tape-recorder from the police boardroom, and a
television
set was found abandoned in a corridor of the commercial building.
The commissioner, Moses Khanyile, was "astounded" by the theft, the Star
reported.
