I assume the problem with scoring you are having relates to scratching of the external surface of the windshield.

If this is the case, the type of glass (tempered or laminated) has no influence.  Glass will scratch.  End of story.  No way out.

If it is real bad, take it to an automotive glass dealer and ask them for quotes to:  1) replace it 2) repolish it.  I expect (but do not know) that you will be flabbergasted by the magnitude of the second, and decide to wait until it gets even worse before you do the first.

If however the problem with scoring is of another type entirely, I am afraid that I do not know the answer.
