Laugh as you may, I think the rules Sharpshooter gives here align fairly well
with my relationship to my 19+ year old son. As to the insolence, I think a
lot of hugs help to keep it to a low murmer. I've been politely informed at
how I controlled his life but he does not mind because he is still alive. As
to the one-command, having had a few dogs that were undisciplined get
squashed by the likes of Greyhounds, I seriously believe in the bark once
rule.
