Seems to me I had similar problems, probably with DAP or a similar fine
product where I was too cheap and/or stupid to use something better. My
guess would be that you/I were/was trying to apply paint over something that
was wet, which, generally speaking, is not a good idea. However, it does
seem to me that one is supposed to paint putty to preserve and protect it.
What's a mother (or a mother----) to do?
