In our work,  we do not knowingly use any products with linseed oil in it. The
BenMoore guy speaks the truth. Delete linseed oil from your vocabulary.

NPS and the Forest Service use to coat logs with a cut solution of linseed oil
and the results were, nice black (mold and mildew covered) structures. They may
continue to do this at some locations. To the surface molds, it is like putting
icing on the donut. yum-yum.
