Rebecca: A posting to the Society for Commercial Archeology's newsletter
may yield something of use on the subject of road protection. You can
contact the co-editor, Mike "Birt" Bedeau, at [log in to unmask]
Beth Savage, who's with the National Park Service (NR program) and member
of several road organizations, might also be able to help. She can be
reached at [log in to unmask]
I'd be interested in seeing what you come up with. My thesis topic was
mobile homes -- not many direct practical applications in the preservation
field, but what fun I had. Good luck.
