I wish to thank the people who responded to me (privately and
publically).

I looked for the cheaper companies, and one of the surprising offers
were:
Mustek Scan Express 1200S in a price which is almost half than say,
Umax 1220S.
This Scan Express is SCSI, and since I'm less interested in quality,
more in speed, I wonder if there are any comments about this specific
model.

I guess that it is not a new product, because I didn't find it on Mustek's
site.

(If it is relevant, I have Celeron 400MHz, on MSI6163, 96Mb SDRAM,
Win98, and I have an Adaptec 2940AU SCSI card, but not a cable to
25pin SCSI, and SCSI cables are not cheap).
