I used to use ZIP for backups, but as my drives got bigger it became a
ridiculous venture. How much do you plan to backup? With compression the
best one can usually achieve is 2 to 1. Considering that ZIP costs about
$2CND/MB verses CDR which costs $2CND/DISC(650MB) I think the choice was
clear for me! Also, since almost every system out there has a CDROM drive
almost any system can read your backup, with ZIP you'd have to move the
drive (assuming you get external). I love my ZIP drive, I still use it to
transfer large files, but for backup it is no longer reasonable. Plus with
my CDRW drive I can do alot more than backup!:) TTYL
