I have used high end CD-ROM cleaners that can be purchased at any CD audio
store. I have seen one email of the last few years that said that this is
not recommended but did not say why. I say high end since they come in
various decrease of stiffness on the brushes the do the actual cleaning
(similar to a toothbrush).
