It amazes me how most Americans understand that a government
which doesn't let people cross the border OUT of its country is
violating the basic human right people have to move freely on the
planet of their birth, yet can't understand that a govenrment which
doesn't let people cross the border INTO its country is violating
exactly the same right!

According to the New York Times, reentering the US illegally
after having been deported has been the felony most frequently
prosecuted by the federal prosecution district which includes San
Diego for each of the last 5 years and has been 1st or 2nd most
frequently prosecuted in the LA district in the same time period.
