From the inside, 'cause it's much easier to patch and to access, but on other
projects, I've removed exterior siding and done it that way, too.  Drilled
right through the siding, once, and glued the plugs back in with PL400.
Looked good at first, but some years later you could see the outline of the
plugs.  Probably would work a little better w/ the new urethane adhesives
like Gorilla Glue.
