I just wanted to let people know my expierience to night as I went out to
eat with my family. My husband always said I drilled the waiters and he
didnt like to go out.So I started to read "Against the Grain" and talked
with people about ordering.I have come along way in 5 yrears.

I looked on the menu and saw a thai salad which had marinated chicken and
crispy rice noodles.I had said to the waitress that i was on a restricted
diet and couldnt have wheat.I asked her if i could have the chicken plain
and the dressing on the side. She said yes and I asked about the crispy rice
nookles, which turns out to have had wheat in them,so instead the chef put
bean sprouts on them.It was wonderful! Most pleasant meal I have had with my
husband and I didnt drill the waitress...HOORAH!

Another way to get your order is to let your spouse order for you,but I felt
better if I did it myself. So I feel real good that I did this and my meal
was very good!!!
