In the January/February issue of "Gluten Free Living," Ann Whelan wrote and
article A Basic Guide to the Gluten-Free Diet. She says this is the same
diet followed by celiacs in other countries. There is a note at the end of
the article that states
"There is one major conflict surrounding the gluten-free diet outside the US,
which is about wheat starch (wheat with the gluten washed out). Some European
countries permit wheat starch on the gluten-free diet, but it is not
permitted here(US) or in Canada. Therefore it is unlikely to be a problem
for you.
Does anybody have any "Facts" about this? I would like to here from you if
you have any facts you can back up with research from experts.
Thank you
