Bob,
Sometimes I don't understand a lot of the posts on this list serv as well.
Especially when they are short, quick replies to a specific post. I just
figure that those two people have some history and so they understand the
message in the context of their longer friendship. I have been on other list
servs in which the quick responses (like -I agree and yeah, good job.) were
generally sent directly to the original person, thus making for fewer posts
to the list. Well, I really have no preference, just my comment on my
experiences of being a listserv member.
