Bill,
The first thing I would worry about is the Compaq diagnostics partition on
the drive. Partition Magic should be able to rid you of this nuisance. As
I am sure you have seen poster here previously, you will need to remove all
devices from the Windows Device Manager, shut down, then let everything
re-detect on bootup in the new system. Make sure you have all the drivers
handy for the new system in case Windows doesn't have them.
