His problem is most likely caused by a IRQ or memory address conflict in
98. NT has sorted out the IRQs for him but apparently 98 has not. Go to
Control Panel....System.....Adaptors ....do you see any yellow or red icons
indicating a conflict....check each adaptor by selecting the adaptors
Properties and then Resources...any conflicts reported ? If so you can try
manually assigning a free IRQ or memory address as required.
