It's odd that you should post about being food drunk. I've been the victim
of this in the past, usually after a trip to an all-you-can-eat buffet. The
interesting thing about your post has to deal with dogs. My hound in
particular, he's a German Shepherd/Chow mix. I swear that he understands
things that are on a higher level than we can explain. Before going Paleo,
If I was about to eat something that wasn't good for me, he would look at me
sideways with a disgusted look. I always thought that it was because he
wanted a bite and I didn't share. He would always turn his nose up to any
offering I would try to give him. Cain, my dog, was raised in the hills and
was allowed to run free for the early years of his life. Then the locals
decided that they were tired of him killing their chickens and such and
decided to kill him...but not before I rescued him. Cain and I share
something and I'm not sure if it is due to my being part Cherokee or what.
I've always felt a stronger bond with animals than with people, my wife
really gets a thrill out of that one. She tells me to go marry the dog. Now
that I'm eating Paleo, Cain is forever under my feet at eating time, he
won't touch his food and he lets me know if he doesn't agree with my choice
of food for the day. I have an instinctive Paleo Pal :-) in Cain. Great post
by the way.
